Pair charged after Holly Springs man's body found in Creedmoor

Posted July 20, 2011

— A Creedmoor couple has been charged with murder after the body of a Holly Springs man was found inside a storage shed on their property, authorities said Wednesday.

Jacobi Paylor Walker, 24, and Shauna Marie Parker, 31, both of 1642 Gate 2 Road, were being held without bond in the Granville County jail on charges of first-degree murder.

Thomas Joseph Fort Jr., 27, was found dead inside a storage building behind the home on Tuesday morning, Sheriff Brindell Wilkins Jr. said. Investigators said they believe he was killed early Sunday and died of a blow to his head.

Wilkins said the death resulted from a love triangle.

Fort's father went to the Creedmoor property to check on his missing son and found the body, Wilkins said.

He won't look at the camera straight on and she has a smurk on her face....... My sons went to school with Tommy and said he was one of the most gentle souls they ever knew. Rest in peace Tommy, know you were very loved and highly regarded. May these two and whoever else involved be prosecuted to the greatest extent of the law..... Thoughts and prayers to the family.... Tommy will never be forgotten!

It's so sad that this happened. I don't know anyone involved in this story but I know the pain of losing a loved one at the hands of another. There is no way to describe that feeling here. I wish those who want to joke about this would think about how bad it would be if it were your child, brother or dad that was taken. We always think bad things happen to other people. I hope you never find out that it does hit home sometimes and when it does it is devastating.

It never fails to surprise me how cold and heartless this world can be and God sees all of it, not just the things that touch our lives, but all lives. Tommy was a kind hearted and caring sole as you will find on this earth. Tragically, those are the ones that the world victimizes the most. I have for a very long time held WRAL in high esteem for their beliefs, fairness and objectivity in presenting information to the public. I feel WRAL fell way below the standard I thought they had set for themselves in posting the "love triangle" comment in this report. I know braodcast journalism is to some degree entertainment and for some reason i naively felt WRAL was above that to some degree, I was wrong. Even the local newspaper in Creedmore had enough class not to make a statement like that.
We miss you Tommy and all that knew you will help each other fill that void you left until we meet you in heaven.

I believe that many people do not realize how loved Tommy was. To those of us who knew him, he warmed our hearts and our lives. This world is a much sadder place with this man gone. To his family and close friends, my prayers, love and comfort are to each of you. Know that he will never be forgotten!! To the mean people who keep posting rude things.. go find something better to do with your life for a good man like this does not deserve such.

I would like to offer my condolences to Tommy Fort’s family. This should not happen to anyone, especially the friend that I have read about in other comments. RIP Tommy. I can't talk harsh about Jacobi because he was a good friend that I let go of. I can only pray that him & Ms. Parker will find God during and after their journey and never let go.

All you people who made jokes about this, yeah, in seriously poor taste.

This cold story doesn't do justice to Tommy or the horror the family is most certainly going through. The world is a lesser place for the loss of Tommy, who was kind-hearted, friendly and deserved so much more. He is sorely, sorely missed. I sincerely hope his family pulls through. His friends and family all have my prayers.

One can only hope that the two people that did this to Tommy get what they deserve. Tommy was the one of the kindest people in the world. Tommy i will miss playing animal crossing with you.

    very sad

Tommy was a very sweet man, and a truer friend than most people are lucky enough to have and anyone who can find humor in his death is as sick as the individuals who did this to him. The communities to which he belonged have lost a dear and precious companion, who will be missed as a brother to even those who haven't known him well.

No one deserves this. My heart goes out to Tommy's family and friends. RIP
