<b>FLINT, MI</b> — School children in Flint took home some much-needed supplies just in time for the new school year.

"Pack Your Back" was created by a group of Central Michigan University students.

Together with Little Miss Flint they collected and handed out the supplies at Mott Community College Sunday.

They want to make sure every child has the right tools for success.

"We all feel this is an important event we as a country need to come to the conclusion that education is the key to success," said Gallen Miller, executive director of Pack Your Back.

More than 1,000 students received backpacks and supplies during the giveaway.
