— A man wanted in Pennsylvania for multiple sex offenses was arrested Tuesday in Cumberland County.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office received a call last week from Pennsylvania authorities advising that registered sex offender Nicholas Fate Krzysko, 27, may be in Fayetteville with his 19-year-old girlfriend.

Authorities said Krzysko has been found guilty in Pennsylvania of multiple statutory sex offenses and is registered as a violent offender. Leaving the state without permission from Pennsylvania officials made Krzysko a fugitive from the state, police said.

Krzysko was captured in the woods near Old Shaw Road after a week-long search. Authorities determined that he had been living in Cumberland County for more than ten days and had failed to register as a sex offender in North Carolina.

Krzysko was charged with failing to register as a sex offender and residing within 1,000 feet of a registered day care center. He was being held at the Cumberland County jail under $50,000 secured bond.
