RALEIGH, N.C. — After two years in business, P.G. Werth's will close its doors in Raleigh.

Owner and chef Gregg Hamm made the announcement via Facebook on Wednesday.

"I have made the decision that I have achieved what I set out to do with opening P.G. Werth's and am now making plans to close the location (in mid-February) so that I can focus on my next chapter," Hamm wrote.

Hamm will continue to operate Cafe 121 and the event space behind it, The Venue at 121, in Sanford, in addition to his catering company. Hamm wrote that he will also continue to teach Culinary Arts with Central Carolina Community College.

P.G. Werth's, which is located at 927 W. Morgan St., will have its final brunch service on Feb. 12.

The restaurant was named after Hamm's former culinary instructor, the late Dr. Patricia Guy Werth.
