A mother and daughter from Oxford were arrested in Wake County Wednesday for a fight that took place Monday at Falls Lake.

According to arrest warrants, Tabatha Edwards, 33, and her daughter, Brittani Rice, 16, both of 2245 Lauren Mill Drive, face assault charges for an attack on a juvenile female. Rice, the warrant says, punched the girl and threw her to the ground.

A third woman, Melissa Powell, 18, of the same address, is also charged with aiding and abetting the assault. She was expected to surrender to authorities Friday.

Yes asdfg, it has been reported on. DSS could not decide whose responsibility it was to care for these children, and I commend the trooper to took it upon himself to step in and make sure they were attended to. DSS should be ashamed.

The mother should have been charged with child abuse/neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor on top of whatever else she was charged with.

This is news because it shows us how SOME parents are raising their children today. They do crime right along with their child.

Why is this news while the trooper who took the kids home after the traffic stop on 95 with him when DSS REFUSED to do their job WASN'T on here?
