Overturned truck blocks access to eastbound US 64 from I-540 in Knightdale
A tractor-trailer overturned Wednesday afternoon on the ramp connecting Interstate 540 and U.S. Highway 64 in Knightdale, blocking traffic for several hours.

KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — A tractor-trailer overturned Wednesday afternoon on the ramp connecting Interstate 540 and U.S. Highway 64 in Knightdale, blocking traffic for several hours.
The truck flipped at about 3 p.m., and Knightdale spokesman Brian Bowman said it would likely continue blocking the ramp to eastbound U.S. 64 until about 7 p.m. The consumer goods in the trailer had to be unloaded before a tow truck could right the rig, he said.
All traffic was being detoured onto westbound U.S. 64.
The driver suffered minor injuries, and no other vehicles were involved.
