Hey gocanes...calm down and take a deep breath! at least count to 10 really slow. I agree with that perhaps our railroad system could be put to good use as it relates to the transport of various goods. But I for one would never say take all the trucks off the road. Are you nuts? Truckers are the backbone of our country that keep the ball rolling. However, having said that, wouldn't you at least agree that SOME of these people that get behind the wheel of trucks simply have no business being there? And yes, some who cut off truckers in SUVs and other vehicles have no business on the road as well. Have you calmed down yet??

Maybe I missed the part of the article that stated the trucker was speeding or driving in a reckless manor. How do you know someone driving a car or SUV didn't cut this trucker off and cause him to make a sudden move resulting in the crash? I do agree with you about the debris part though.

As far as the railroads, how many business that require truck deliveries actually have a railroad track nearby? Even if the material is shipped some of the way by train, a tractor trailer will still have to be used to transport these items to these businesses. Yeah, let's take the truckers off the road so there will be that many more unemployed people.

You people complain just to have something to complain about.

Wow, actually I kind of like that idea about the railroad remark. You go lemonchar!

i agree! perhaps we could be putting our railroads to work more for this, and take some trucks off the road.

There are too many truckers speeding and driving recklessly on our roads, namely these mail transport and dump trucks.

I have seen this too many times where they are speeding, switching lanes, tailgating and losing debris from the cargo area. Something needs to be done to stop this.
