Raleigh, N.C. — About 1,100 Duke Energy Progress customers around Eastgate Park are without power Monday morning.
Meg Garland, who lives on Paine Court near the park, said she heard a transformer cutting on and off several times before it went out.
The outage was reported just after 5 a.m. Monday. Power is expected to be restored before 8 a.m., according to Duke Energy Progress.
Eastgate Park is located just north of the Beltline between Quail Hollow Drive and Wingate Drive.
