Orangetheory weight loss challenge offers cash prize

Lose the most body fat and have a chance to win $2,000.

RALEIGH, N.C. — In case you need some motivation to get fit, Orangetheory Fitness kicks off its annual weight loss challenge this week.
The challenge is open to members of Orangetheory Fitness, which has locations in Morrisville, Chapel Hill, North Raleigh, Wake Forest and Holly Springs.

The male and female who lose the highest percentage of body fat have the chance to win cash prizes.

At the Wake Forest studio, the cash prize is $1,250 for each male and female winner. At the Morrisville, Chapel Hill, North Raleigh and Holly Springs studios, the top male and female each win $500. From these four studios only, the male and female regional winners get $1,000 each.

There is a $25 entry fee and the challenge runs from Jan. 14 to Feb. 25. Initial weigh-ins are this week.

Past participants have lost as much as 60 pounds in six weeks.
