Orange Schools Name New Superintendent

The Orange County Board of Education on Wednesday hired Patrick Rhodes as superintendent of Orange County Schools.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — The Orange County Board of Education on Wednesday hired Patrick Rhodes as superintendent of Orange County Schools.

Rhodes most recently served as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction for Durham Public Schools. Before that, he served as Durham's executive director of high schools, principal of Riverside High School and a middle school science teacher and coach.

Before going to Durham, he spent nine years with Orange County Schools as assistant principal and principal of Orange High School, a science teacher, technology administrator and head basketball coach.
