Orange High fight brings charges against four

Sheriff's deputies charged four students Monday morning after they assaulted a fifth student as classes resumed following the holiday break, Orange County Schools officials confirmed.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Sheriff's deputies charged four students Monday morning after they allegedly assaulted a fifth student at Orange High School as classes resumed following the holiday break, Orange County Schools officials confirmed.

Details of the incident were being sorted out, schools spokesman Mike Gilbert said. The fight brought several deputies to help the school resource officer about 8:30 a.m.

No information was immediately available about what charges were filed or the defendants' names.
