The Triangle currently does not have a viable bus system. The TTA carries one passenger on average per trip - an utter failure. Not to mention the limted routes and operating hours.

If the Triangle wants to get serious about creating a bussing system that many people will use then it needs to greatly expand the routes and hours. This will take significant taxpayer investment and the money is never earned back from an operations perspective. The only payback on public transportation is a reduction of vehicle traffic on the roads - easing congestion.

The Triangle does not have a significant congestion issue. Most taxpayers see very little reason to support a public bus system.

The ONLY residents that will benefit from this will be those living in Chapel Hill/Carrboro and possibly the Town of Hillsborough. The remaining residents get NO benefit!!

no regional or rural bus system..........NO NEW TAXES !!!!

public transportation is a fiscal nightmare, it never pays its way and therefore should never be considered anywhere.
