Orange break-in suspect caught on camera

Posted October 20, 2014

Surveillance video distributed by the Orange County Sheriff's Office shows a man taking tools from a garage on Pleasant Green Road.

— The Orange County Sheriff's Office shared surveillance video Monday from a pair of break-ins at a home on Pleasant Green Road. Authorities said the same man broke into the home on two consecutive days.

The video shows him pulling up a tan car, then entering a garage and taking tools.

The man appears to be African-American and heavyset, wearing dark pants and a dark T-shirt over a long-sleeve white shirt.

Anyone with information about the man or the break-ins is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff's Office at 919-644-3050.

I wondered the same. I can't believe a relatively new camera would produce such results. I'm thinking it was re-encoded and lots of quality lost. Surely the original video would be better. It should be possible to get the plate number given he backed right toward the camera.

Why doesn't he go to work, study at night and make a life to be proud of?

You would think that people would understand the these terrible cheap cameras could have solved this if they had actually spent $100 more.

They should stake out the local McDonald's for this guy.

Why is the quality of surveillance videos/photos always so poor? Can't make out this guys face or the tags on his car.
