Please NC, don't let this case just slip through your fingers.. People need to start taking responsiblity as parents. My prayers are with the child that was in the bath tub with him and my prayers go to our justice system. I worry that there will not be charges- that our justice system will say it was an accident. Okay, so it might have been an accident, the father didn't hold the baby's head under.. but the second you walk away from leaving a child/children in an unsafe environment, you are guilty of neglect, abuse, voluntary manslaughter. As a parent: your friends, the TV, whatever- they all come after your kids. This man's friends and TV will always be there, his child, he's gone forever.

Wow! This is sad! Lack of responsibility on his part...His life will be forever changed because he'd rather have fun drinking with his buddies than care for his children. As other posters have said, you should NEVER leave a 2 year old unattended in a bath tub much less a 7 month old!!! Very sad :(

A seven month old is barely able to sit-up by itself. A two year old can't handle a slippery baby in the bath tub. He will have to carry the burden of his actions forever! All to hang out with friends, watch a movie, and consume alcohol. What a shame!

Fuquay Resident....... "Why would you put a 7 month old in the bathtub with any child and leave him unattended?"

So few understand that there is only a breath between life and death.

But why anyone would leave a child alone in a tub for 8 minutes is beyond me.

    Poor baby!

Praying for the family - what a tough way to learn a lesson when one does not heed those learned by others.

    God bless.

Why would you put a 7 month old in the bathtub with any child and leave him unattended? I wouldn't trust any child under 15 with a baby in a bathtub.
