Only Burger moves to next round of breakfast challenge
Only Burger is the only Triangle-area food truck to step up to the breakfast challenge presented by the Thomas Breakfast Battle.

DURHAM, N.C. — Only Burger is one of 10 food trucks remaining in the breakfast challenge presented by the Thomas Breakfast Battle. The battle, sponsored by Thomas’ English Muffins, asked 50 trucks to create a breakfast meal.
For Only Burger, it was easy. They added bacon to the fried green tomato, fried egg and pimento cheese on their Famous Fried Green Tomato burger and substituted a Thomas’ English Muffin for the bun.
The sandwich is available on the truck and at the two Only Burger brick-and-mortar stores for the duration of the contest, through Oct. 16.
People can vote for their favorite breakfast confection once per day to get entered for the grand prize of $5,000. Voting for this round ends at 10 p.m. Sunday. After that, the field will be narrowed to the top five trucks.
