One suspect ID'd in armed home invasion

Posted August 20, 2009

— Rocky Mount police have identified one of two men they believe kicked in the door to a Peachtree Street home and robbed three people.

Aligh-Juwan Strayhorne faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault and burglary. He remains at large.

Police said that Strayhorne and another man brandished a handgun and shotgun and demanded money from a man, woman and child in a home at 823 Peachtree St. shortly after midnight Wednesday. Strayhorne pointed the handgun at the man, police said.

The men took $1,500, a wallet and car charger and then fled on foot, police said. A K-9 search located the car charger, which was returned to its owner.

Strayhorne was arrested July 4 after an altercation at a nightclub in which he allegedly assaulted an off-duty police officer and a club patron.

Please come to my door - Mr Smith & Wesson will assist you to the afterlife! Or, Mr Ruger may help out - there is such a variety of helpers here - he is bound to like one of them! I would feel honored to remove him from his torment in this life! Brought to you with the best wishes of the NRA and proud Americans who are willing to defend themselves thanks to the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution.

ANother reason we have the 2nd Amendment. This is happening more and more and I will use what ever force it takes to stop someone from invading my home, if that means i used my guns then I have that right.

I have a sign on my doors that read "Owner has a loaded 357 inside 4 days a week. You guess which 4 days". Seems to work for me.

I guess Aligh-Juwan and others like him think they are too smart to get caught but the law. Mabye they are right, and hope that they get a Judge like Orlando Hudson to give them a hug and let them go.
