— One of two suspects in two recent armed robberies at Duke Gardens has been captured, Duke University police said Friday.

Tamisha Thompson, 20, was arrested by Durham police officers during a traffic stop Thursday on North Roxboro Road, near Old Oxford Highway. Thompson, who was a passenger in the car, is charged with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police are still searching for Denshawn Thompson, 20, who is also charged in the robberies. The suspects are cousins.

The crimes occurred July 15 and July 25 near the Lewis Street entrance to the gardens.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash for information leading to an arrest, and callers may remain confidential.
