Harnett County, N.C. — Troopers said a man went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Saturday after crashing his motorcycle on I-95 in Harnett County.
The single vehicle crash happened around 4 p.m. between mile marker 71 and 72, according to authorities. Witnesses told troopers the driver lost control while merging onto I-95 north from Long Branch Road. The motorcycle slid about 300 feet before hitting the guardrail, authorities said.
Authorities do not suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash, but witnesses said the man was driving well over the speed limit.
The crash remains under investigation.
