Fayetteville, N.C. — Police are trying to figure out what caused a three-car wreck early Sunday that killed a man and injured two people in another car.
Investigators said Bobby Saunders, 69, of Greycliff Drive, was driving a 2003 Cadillac CTS around 1:15 a.m. when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic and hit the back of a 2003 Jaguar before striking a 2012 Dodge Caliber head on Morganton Road near Murray Fork Drive.
Greycliff died at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The driver and a passenger in the Dodge Caliber were listed in critical condition Sunday morning.
The Jaguar's driver was not injured.
Authorities said they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash but say the investigation is ongoing.
