One killed, two injured in Clinton home invasion

Posted November 7, 2012

— One man died Tuesday night and two others were injured in an apparent home invasion at 3377 Faison Highway in Clinton.

Sampson County sheriff's deputies were called to the home just before 10 p.m. and found three men inside. One of them was already dead. The two others were taken to an area hospital. Deputies did not release the names of any of the victims.

They described the possible culprits as three men wearing ski masks traveling in a small, dark-colored passenger car. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Sampson County Sheriff's Office at 910-592-4141.

There were three inside..three had been in the car. That sounds like the intruders to me and that the castle doctrine was enforced by the owner.

Soooo... were the victims all residents of the home? Or, were one or more also among the three "perps" in the small dark car?
