— A woman was killed and another woman injured early Sunday in a hit-and-run wreck at the intersection of Lawson and Alston avenues in Durham, police said.

Driver Takieya Sessoms and her passenger, Angela Gray, both in their 20s, were taken to Duke University Hospital, where Gray died Sunday afternoon.

Sessoms was treated and released for a broken hand.

Police found the alleged driver, Miguel Cruz-Castillo, 23, a few blocks away a short time after the wreck. He was charged with driving while impaired, inflicting serious injury or death and felony hit-and-run. He posted a $25,000 bond and was released from the Durham County jail later Sunday.

I work with this guy he was a manager of the cleaning staff . first off I cant believe he's only 23 thats seems a little fishy but its to bad he was a pretty nice guy as far as i knew him my condolences go out to angela's family people need to chill out sh#t happens even if there were no mexicans people would still die in car accidents this has nothing to do with race its just the human race needs to get smarter and have more respect for others on the road

$25,000 bond?? ARE YOU KIDDING????? This clown will be in Mexico tomorrow! Freakin' Mexican drivers are the WORST for DWI and hit and run! They DO NOT CARE about anybody else on the road. I've also been a victim of a MEXICAN hit and run. Now whenever I see one on the road I watch them closely and try to stay away from them.

Guess they didn't want to deal with him, so gave him a bond he could pay and hoping he don't show back up.

"Who allowed him his license to drive?" - charmcclainlovesdogs2

    You are joking, right?

Probably the same ones that gave him is picture voter ID, and SS card. All available at a Tienda near you...

Can you believe they turned him loose???? Somebody's tail needs to be fired here. It's either the police for providing insufficient info to the magistrate or the magistrate, himself. If it's a bonding company they better be after him right now or they're out 25 grand.
