One killed, one injured after boats collide on Cape Fear River
One person was killed and another injured Thursday evening when two boats collided in the Cape Fear River, Pender County officials said.
Posted — UpdatedROCKY POINT, N.C. — One person was killed and another injured Thursday evening when two boats collided in the Cape Fear River, Pender County officials said.
Emergency crews responding to the area of the river near Rocky Point about 7:30 p.m. said one of the boats flipped following the collision.
It wasn't clear what caused the boats to collide, and authorities did not release the names of the people involved in the incident.
