MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — A fatal collision between a freight train and a Jeep Liberty in Mount Olive Wednesday afternoon has been ruled a suicide, Mount Olive police said.

Antonio DeMarco Davis, 27, drove around the lowered cross arms, stopped on the tracks, exited his vehicle and stood on the tracks with his hands up as the train approached, Mount Olive Police Chief Tommy Brown said.

Davis was depressed over a relationship, Brown said.
