WEST END, N.C. — A 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the Sunday morning killing of a 32-year-old man in West End, the Moore County Sheriff's Office said.

Michael Tyrone Ryner, of 148 Cloverwood Lane, is charged with murder. He remained in the Moore County jail Sunday under no bond.

Deputies received a call at approximately 10:55 a.m. regarding an assault at Ryner's home, authorities said. Anthony Kendall Harrison was stabbed twice in the neck and was bleeding so bad that friends drove him to Moore Regional Hospital, officials said. Harrison died en route, investigators said.

Ryner's first court appearance is scheduled for May 26.
