One killed in Harnett County crash

— One person was killed Wednesday night after a pickup truck ran a stop sign and hit a vehicle at the intersection of Young and Benson roads near Angier, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said.

The wreck is the third serious accident at the intersection in recent weeks, neighbors said.

    This is sad and happens way too often. People are so much in a hurry that they run red lights and stop signs daily. Even if there was a traffic light, someone would run it.. This morning, two cars obviously ran a red light in Durham on my way too work. I always wait and make sure the people are going to obey the red light.. Even if your late- running a stop sign or red light and hitting someone and possibly have fatalities are going to make you much later...
