Man in stable condition after drive-by shooting in Durham

A 28-year-old man was in stable condition early Saturday after being injured late Friday in a drive-by shooting on Sedwick Road in Durham, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A 28-year-old man was in stable condition early Saturday after being injured late Friday in a drive-by shooting on Sedwick Road in Durham, police said.

According to investigators, about 400 to 500 people were attending a party at 1910 Sedwick Road when multiple gunshots were fired from a passing car at about 11 p.m.

The man, who name has not yet been released, was shot. Investigators said he was a chaperone at the party, which was being held after a high school fashion show.

No arrests have been made, and additional information was not immediately available.
