One killed in Capital Boulevard wreck

— Raleigh police said a man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck late Thursday afternoon on Capital Boulevard. 

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to WakeMed after the wreck near Brentwood Road, police said. He died at the hospital. 

No more details about the wreck were released.

Police said the wreck caused delays to northbound traffic on Capital Boulevard and in both directions on Brentwood Road during the evening rush hour.

    The fire you are seeing is a prescribed burn by the NC Forestry service being done around falls lake in the area of New Light rd and Old Weaver Trl.

    Capital Blvd is a wreck every day, regardless of whether a collision actually occurs.

    you are a bit late on this story!!!! Took almost an hour to get from 440 to Spring Forest road....and that was before 3pm with this wreck....then after that when they finally opened 1 lane going North there was an accident right off of the ramp of 440 nd capital.....traffic reports need to be a little more current
