A wreck involving a motorcycle and two cars occurred Thursday afternoon along North Carolina Highway 55 in Cary.

<b>CARY, N.C.</b> — A wreck involving a motorcycle and two cars occurred Thursday afternoon along North Carolina Highway 55 in Cary.

According to town officials, the wreck happened when a car failed to stop at a red light near High House Road just before 6:30 p.m. The car ran into a motorcyclist, who was stopped at the light, and pushed it into the car in front of it.

The motorcyclist was taken to Duke Hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

One lane of N.C. Highway 55 south was blocked while the wreck was being cleared.
