— One person was injured during a home invasion near Holly Springs Friday that Wake County authorities say was not a random act.

The home invasion occurred in the 7500 block of Honeycutt Road in the early afternoon, said Phyllis Stephens, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office.

Stephens said that the victim opened the door, and two people barged into the home. The victim was assaulted before managing to run away.

A description of the perpetrators was not available. The victim's identity was not released.
