One injured in shooting near UNC
The victim, Gregory Cicero Brower, 22, of Carrboro, was shot in the chest at nearly 9 p.m. and transported to UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill police said. His condition was not available Friday, police said.
Posted — UpdatedCHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Police were on the scene of a shooting in the 100 block of Johnson Street near the basketball courts at the Pine Community Center Thursday night.
The victim, Gregory Cicero Brower, 22, of Carrboro, was shot in the chest at nearly 9 p.m. and transported to UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill police said. His condition was not available Friday, police said.
Authorities believe Brower was shot with a shotgun.
Authorities are looking for two suspects, who they have only identified as black males.
