One person was seriously injured Thursday evening in a two-car wreck on U.S. Highway 401 in Franklin County, authorities said.

<b>ROLESVILLE, N.C.</b> — One person was seriously injured Thursday evening in a two-car wreck on U.S. Highway 401 in Franklin County, authorities said.

The person's name and condition were not released, but authorities did say the wreck victim was flown to a local hospital for treatment.

The highway was closed between N.C. Highway 98 and Tarboro Road, north of Rolesville, for several hours.
