JoCo - I mean, hit what you are aiming at. Woundings are shameful.

Last I checked on that page it was just as many in Raleigh and Wake Co. Go and check the page for Johnston, or find a page like that Boston, the Outer Banks, Orange Co., Dare Co., Boone NC, and then let everyone know what you see also. Fatchanceimright!!!!

Look at the "arrests" section on the home page and there is the answer.

WRAL, how dare you allow such a remark and do not post others?

Hunter38, are you naive enough or just not smart enough to know that there is Section 8 housing in Raleigh as well. How bout you go to the trailer parks of Johnston Co. and let me know how lovely it is there also. The people here only want to drag down a race and any city it populates. As if the the gangs and crime aren't ramped in Boston, run by the Irish, and you can't get more white than that. WRAL might as well be Fox News!!!

@Durhamborn1980, just look at the crime statistics for Durham county vs. Wake county and you'll see that it has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with criminals.

Of course, because without guns, these people would be law-abiding citizens. LOL

FatChanceI'mWrong, while you're at it, you may want to research why that is, how African Americans and white people are charged and prosecuted differently for the same actions, how African Americans are disproportionately affected by crime and failures of law enforcement and the justice system. Then I'll give your words more thought.

I am a white woman who was beaten by a (now ex-)boyfriend, and I am also a rape survivor. These crimes were perpetrated by white men, but that doesn't mean I get to blame all white men for all crime, so I'm not sure why you feel justified in throwing venom at all African Americans. Please give it some thought.

To gmuny33: I agree it seems to be more "HATE" for Durham than concern in my opinion, because it can be something little like a tree falling on the road and some people will still say Durham citizens had something to do with it and/or make comments such as hunter38..My grandmother is 89 and even when she moved here from Wendell back in 1955 people were still talking about Durham, but because Durham back then was the place to be for African American entrepreneurs and workers because ("Black Wall Street" it was called)of their ownerships even in the mist of the racism/civil rights movement which was well alive , alot of people had tried to taint their image which is still sticking with it today. Its unfortunate though that there is a lost of younger generations that are not making it easy..but then again I don’t even think they know the rich history that Durham has to offer...
