Lillington, N.C. — A fire early Monday at a Lillington house left one person dead, authorities said.
A neighbor called 911 shortly after 4 a.m. to report the house at 209 Carnation Lane was ablaze.
Authorities said three of the four occupants of the home escaped without injury. Flatwoods Fire Department firefighters found a body inside in what appeared to be a bedroom.
