One charged, one sought in Roanoke Rapids shooting

Deputies arrested one man Friday and were searching for another after a shooting at a Roanoke Rapids home last week that killed two people, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — Deputies arrested one man Friday and were searching for another after a shooting at a Roanoke Rapids home last week killed two people, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

Aaron Jarmal Mills, 19, was charged with two counts of murder and taken to the Halifax County jail, where was being held without bond. Arrest warrants were issued for Jimmie Lee Mason, 19, who was not in custody Saturday afternoon.

Deputies were called to a shooting at a house on Delta Drive late Sept. 4. Thomas Tyrone Davis, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene and Jennilee Ann Foster, 26, was taken to Pitt Memorial Hospital hospital, where she died Tuesday.
