FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — One man has been arrested, and police were searching Tuesday for two others in a shooting last week that critically wounded a man.

Jamel Antwan Davis, 30, of 1022 Wayside Drive in Fayetteville, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

Arrest warrants also have been issued for Gerald Douglas Raeford, 33, of 7413 Beaver Run Drive, and Brendell Martin Davis, 40, of 1029 Crayton Circle, both of Fayetteville, charging them with the same offenses.

Police responded Thursday night to a reported shooting on Crayton Circle and found two men shot. The men were found near a Dodge Charger that was near the intersection of Crayton Circle and Wynwood Drive, police said.

Roe Anthony Jones, 36, was still at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center on Tuesday with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The name and condition of the other man wasn't released.
