Goldsboro police have arrested one man and are looking for three others after a man reported that he was robbed and kidnapped on Friday.

Investigators said Tuesday that the man, Marcus Toney, reported that he was in the 1000 block of Poplar Street when the men approached him, held him at gunpoint and took his 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse before forcing him into another vehicle.

He was dropped off in the 900 block of Carver Drive, and his car was found later that day.

Tarrian Devon Gaines Jr., 23, of 905 E. Pine St., Goldsboro, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping after he was arrested Monday on unrelated charges, police said.

Detectives have also identified three other suspects, but they have not released their identities.

Gaines was in the Wayne County jail under a $300,000 bond Tuesday morning.
