One arrested, one sought in armed robbery
Fayetteville police have arrested one man and are searching for a second suspect in connection with an armed robbery early Friday.
Posted — UpdatedPolice said that Cedric Dwayne Capers, 18, of 1113 Turnpike Road, and Terrance Justin Holmes, 20, of 308 Currie St., offered to give a ride to the victim, whom they knew, then robbed him.
Both men were charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, and Holmes was arrested Thursday.
Capers remains at large.
Police said that Capers was arrested in 2008 on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer. State Department of Correction records do not show any convictions for him.
