Officials: Thursday morning Durham fire was arson

Authorities in Durham are investigating a fire that broke out at an apartment complex Thursday morning as arson.

DURHAM, N.C. — Authorities in Durham are investigating a fire that broke out at an apartment complex Thursday morning as arson.

According to Durham Fire Department Deputy Chief, Chris Iannuzzi, firefighters were dispatched to a fire at 806 Rosehill Ave. at 7:01 a.m. A fire in the bedroom of a unit in the one-story apartment complex was extinguished in 10 minutes, but the contents of the room were badly damaged.

One adult was displaced but nobody was injured.

No information about suspects was available.
