BETHESDA, Md. — Officials say four Bethesda high school students have been hospitalized after taking what officials believe was a prescription drug.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Principal Donna Redmond Jones told parents in a letter that the students became ill Tuesday afternoon after they took what appears to be a prescription medication.
Officials say four students were taken to the hospital. At least one other student was picked up by a parent. Their conditions were non-life-threatening.
It's still unclear exactly what the students ingested. WTOP reports (http://bit.ly/2fR5TPJ ) that Montgomery County police suspect the students took Xanax.
Authorities say they are still investigating the incident.
