FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Two of the top leaders at Womack Army Medical Center are back on the job after a three-month suspension.

Col. Lance C. Raney and Command Sgt. Major Michael T. Stoddard, the commander and senior enlisted man at the hospital, were relieved of their duties in February during what the Army described as "an ongoing investigation."

In an interview with the Fayetteville Observer, Raney and Stoddard commended the military for the process that removed them from command. They didn't elaborate on the reason for the suspension, but called the investigation painful but necessary.
