Officials: Missing 62-year-old Raleigh man found safe

Joe Lee Carver, 62, was last seen at 1308 Lane Street in Raleigh. Authorities said he was wearing a dark navy blue coat, beige pants and white shoes.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Silver Alert issued Monday morning for a missing Raleigh man who may be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment has been canceled.

Around 8:30 a.m., officials with the Raleigh Police Department announced that Carver was found safe.

Joe Lee Carver, 62, was last seen at 1308 Lane Street in Raleigh. Authorities said he was wearing a dark navy blue coat, beige pants and white shoes.

Carver is described as black with short black hair and brown eyes. He stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.

Police said Carver requires daily medication, which he does not have with him. Authorities do not know where Carver is headed.
