Office Depot and Office Max have merged

Posted November 6, 2013

Office Depot

Office Depot and Office Max have completed their merger.  According to a letter e-mailed to customers on 11/6/13, the MaxPerks program will remain intact and you will continue to receive the same benefits, for now,  including:

5% back in rewards for every $500 you spend in qualifying purchases each year

For teachers, 10% back in rewards for every $75 spent on qualifying items

Recycling rewards for ink and toner cartridges

Bonus Rewards on featured items

For more information, see the letter that was sent to customers.

For another perspective, I recommend you read an article from CouponsInTheNews.com regarding the future of both the Office Depot and Office Max reward programs. The author points out that the company expects to roll out a combined new rewards program in 2014, so more than likely, you will see some changes to your Office Max rewards in the future.
