Office Depot and Office Max have merged

Posted November 6, 2013

Office Depot

Office Depot and Office Max have completed their merger.  According to a letter e-mailed to customers on 11/6/13, the MaxPerks program will remain intact and you will continue to receive the same benefits, for now,  including:

5% back in rewards for every $500 you spend in qualifying purchases each year

For teachers, 10% back in rewards for every $75 spent on qualifying items

Recycling rewards for ink and toner cartridges

Bonus Rewards on featured items

For more information, see the letter that was sent to customers.

For another perspective, I recommend you read an article from regarding the future of both the Office Depot and Office Max reward programs. The author points out that the company expects to roll out a combined new rewards program in 2014, so more than likely, you will see some changes to your Office Max rewards in the future.
