In a campaign rally in Florida Sunday, President Obama cited reports in The New York Times that aides to Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump have taken away his access to Twitter.

"In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his self-control they said, 'We're just gonna take away your Twitter.' Now, if somebody can't handle a Twitter account, they can't handle the nuclear codes," Obama said.

Obama was referring to a report Sunday in the New York Times that described Trump as anxious and needy in the final days of his campaign.

The president's comments got laughter from the crowd in Kissimmee, but Trump's Twitter activity continued unabated through Monday morning with photos of packed rallies and thanks to supporters.
