Meadowmont Animal Hospital has opened its doors in Chapel Hill and wants to welcome pet families of the Triangle.

Dr. Ashley Northen Robertson, the medical director and primary veterinarian at hospital, grew up in Chapel Hill and graduated from Chapel Hill High School, Appalachian State University and the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

She wanted to return to her hometown to raise her family and establish herself professionally.

Robertson said keeping the clinic locally owned, rather than part of a corporation, allows her more

flexibility to tend to the specific needs of both her clients and her patients. She said she's able to cultivate long-lasting professional relationships with her clients, and she can get involved with local organizations, school systems, and the community.

Meadowmont Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital offering surgery, critical care, reproductive health, in-house labwork and viral
testing, wellness programs and vaccines, sick pet exams, dentistry, digital radiography,

and in-house ultrasound. The facility is located at 190 Finley Golf Course Road.
