Northgate Mall to host Durham Charter School Fair

Posted January 22, 2014

Charter Schools

Northgate Mall in Durham will host the first Durham Charter School Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, in its Center Court.

The fair will bring representatives from all charter schools across Durham County to offer information and answer questions about their programs. Charter schools are free public schools open to all students through a lottery system. Click here to learn more about charter schools in North Carolina. The Durham Charter Collaborative is organizing the event.

Here's a list of the schools that will be at Saturday's fair, which is free and open to all. Let me add, I know of a lot of parents investigating all of the various charter schools across the region. This is a great idea.

Carter Community School (K-8)
Central Park Charter (K-6)
Healthy Start Academy (K-8)
Institute for Development of Young Leaders (K-6)
Kestrel Heights Charter (K-12)
Maureen Joy Charter (K-8)
Reaching All Minds Academy (K-5)
Research Triangle Academy (K-8)
Research Triangle High School (9-11)
Voyager Academy (K-12)
