UPDATE: Just updated this with the correct date. So sorry for any confusion!

Northgate Mall in Durham will celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday with a Seussational Day on March 2, which happens to be the beloved author's 109th birthday.

Cat in the Hat, or rather an educator dressed as the character, will lead kids in three interactive shows that includes reading, singing and dancing at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., March 2, at Northgate's Macy's Court. It's free. Participants are encouraged to wear a hat or come dressed as their favorite Dr. Seuss character.

Also on the same day, Stadium 10 Theaters at Northgate will feature a special film screening of the "Best of Dr. Seuss." Showtimes are 11:30 a.m., 2:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Film tickets are only $1.

Ack! You're right! I misread the release. Entirely my fault. March 2.

This Saturday (2/23) or the following Sat. (3/2)? I've seen some conflicting information.
