ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Authorities shut down both lanes of northbound Interstate 95 near Rocky Mount for several hours Sunday morning after a tractor-trailer overturned.

The driver suffered minor cuts in the wreck, which happened about 6 a.m. at Exit 141, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. No other vehicles were involved.

Troopers said the driver, Gerald Head of South Carolina, ran off the roadway to the left and over-corrected. The trailer, which was carrying produce, lost stability and flipped over.

Head was charged with failure to maintain lane control.
