North Raleigh indoor play space to close for upgrade

Posted March 23, 2015

Tots to Teens Furniture in north Raleigh, which also offers a large indoor Rainbow Play System playground for drop-in play, is under new ownership. The indoor play space will be closed for several days this week for some work.

Amy Kurz, the new owner, tells me that the play space will be closed through Thursday so workers can install a new play system and refurbish the room. It will reopen Friday with a free party to celebrate the new space. Open play is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., this Friday and weekdays after it reopens.

Kurz said she knows that this week's temporary closure isn't ideal because Wake schools are on spring break, but there was no flexibility.

Kurz is excited for the reopening celebration. She said she plans on having pizza, drinks, snacks and prizes, along with free play on the new equipment.

Tots to Teens can be found at 8732 Glenwood Ave. in north Raleigh.
