The level of service at the Capital Blvd. office can only be described as ATROCIOUS. It is if the entire office is in slow motion, they work pathetically slow. I went in there a few years ago to change address, and it took an hour and a half. The line was out the door, there was no place to park, so I had to park on the grass. While in line, I heard over the intercom a message to move my truck. I asked the guy behind me to hold my place in line, he said sure. Then he said loud enough for every one to hear- 'You wouldn't have to park on the grass if these people would get their ^$^^$%&es in gear.' So they got even slower, if you can believe that. Every single one of them could not last a single hour in a job in the private sector, they would get ground into hamburger. PATHETIC.

I'm wondering if the office that is closing is the driver's license office in the old Burlington Mills Plant? Or, is it closer to Raleigh than that? The news item leaves alot to be desired with regard to details. I renewed my license at the Burlington Mills office last year and was surprised at how well it went. It was probably mid afternoon and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

further away......i hate that place its like walking into a prison or something. They are so rude there!!

The DMV employees that are currently relocating to spring forest and atlantic are the rude ones, you would think someone is forcing them to be there or they are doing you a favor, they have a job and need to at least put a smile. There's no easy or none stressful job in this country and a smile does not cost you anything. The ones in cary are very nice though.

Thank you! From the little old lady on New Hope Road!

Perhaps the move is because the DMV employees want to eat lunch at either Snoopy's or Goodberry's.

Why do they have to move the North Raleigh office every few years at this point? It used to be at Old Wake Forest and Capital, then they moved it farther up Capital, and just a few years later they're moving down to Spring Forest and Atlantic. STOP MOVING IT!

I live in Wakefield and don't understand a need for a new location. *rolls eyes*

OK, I'll try this post again - for anyone who lives close to Hwy 96, Creedmoor has a mobile DMV unit that comes the 4th Thursday and Friday of every month - they are quick, efficient and very NICE people!
