Man charged in north Raleigh burglaries

Raleigh, N.C. — Police on Thursday arrested a Raleigh man in connection with a string of business burglaries in north Raleigh.
Ronald Dixon Branche, 57, was charged with felony breaking and entering, attempted breaking and entering and lareceny after breaking and entering.
The back doors to several businesses in the Litchford Village shopping center were damaged over the weekend by someone trying to break in, and the owner of Hoppy Endings said someone stole the cash register and broke about 50 liquor bottles in his bar.
A few miles away, a billards business also was burglarized, and a security video showed a man walking off with a cash drawer.
